2019 Thanksgiving Day Parade Marches Through NYC’s Streets for a Wonderful Show!

On November 28, 2019, tens of thousands made an appearance on the sidewalks of NYC to enjoy the 93rd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The event began on a breezy and chilly morning as dozens of floats, marching bands and participants congregated around the Museum of Natural History on the upper west side of Manhattan – a site which has traditionally been the starting point of past parades.

Just as there many fave floats readying to be freed of their respective netting, cheerleaders, band members and clowns practiced their performances before the grand takeoff.

Along with all the many thousands marching down Central Park West were numerous celebrities performing along the way. These included the Black Eye Peas, Idina Menzel, Billy Porter, Chicago and others. Yours truly had the fine experience of being pointed out by NBC Tonight Show Host, Jimmy Fallon.

Of course the parade continued on beyond the upper west side through midtown on its way to the red carpet in front of Macy’s Herald Square.

At the tail end of the parade were Santa’s many elves marching along ahead of Old Saint Nick’s great sleigh which carried as well Mrs. Claus.

Have to say that the day was a success despite the strong winds which forced some floats to be held and pulled close to the ground. This New Yorker looks forward to next year’s parade as so many other New Yorkers, tourists and others do as well.
