2022 Philippine Independence Day Parade Marches through NYC’s Streets

32nd Annual Philippine Independence Day Parade Marches Down Madison Avenue

On Sunday, June 5, 2022 the Philippine Independence Day Council Inc. held its 32nd Annual Celebration through numerous events through the day including a parade and festival.

The Philippine Independence Day Parade started off with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on 38th Street and Madison Avenue. Thereafter the day’s parade marched southward along Madison to its dispersal area around 27th Street near Madison Square Park.

It’s there that a cultural festival took place with performances on stage as well as a street festival nearby offering up foods of/from the Philippines.

The day was fitting for such a parade with comfortable temperatures and beautiful skies above. Some of the marchers/performers in the procession were decked up in the most beautiful of colors imaginable. It was a delight to have witnessed this all close-up.

A video from the day’s event can be viewed below.
