Featuring wind and percussion jazz musicians in meditative sets, solo artists interact with Ekene Ijeoma’s immersive art installation, Breathing Pavilion. Designed to promote interconnectedness and self-reflection, Breathing Pavilion offers a safe and peaceful sanctuary at a time when many have experienced hardship or loss.

At this time of great hardship and loss, Breathing Pavilion by Ekene Ijeoma offers a public space for communal meditation, self-reflection, and interconnectedness. At any time, sit or stand around the pavilion, syncopating your breath with the lights and attuning yourself to a shared rhythm. Or sign up here for a slot for a self-led meditation at the art installation. Once on site, you are free to begin your practice – there is no check-in process. Please bring any equipment that will make you comfortable (mats, cushions, etc.) Co-produced by Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and Van Alen Institute with support from Two Trees Management Co.
