Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum Kicks Off

6th Annual Summer 2014 Movie Series

With Screening Of Top Gun On May 23

Free Outdoor Screenings Presented by Dr. Pepper

The Intrepid Summer Movie Series, presented by Dr. Pepper, returns this summer with a selection of entertaining sea, air and space-themed movies all summer long.  Members of the public are invited to bring lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets to the Intrepid Museum to view a popular movie outdoors, free of charge, on a huge inflatable screen on the Flight Deck of the aircraft carrier.

Doors open at 7:30pm and the film will begin at sunset. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited. Visitors are encouraged to bring food and beverages to the screening, however alcohol is not permitted.

The lineup for the 2014 Intrepid Summer Movie Series is:

  • Friday, May 23: Top Gun

  • Thursday, July 10: Independence Day

  • Thursday, July 17: Gravity

  • Thursday, July 24: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

  • Thursday, August 7: Spaceballs

  • Thursday, August 14: Captain Phillips
