Ten Friday performances this season will offer discounted orchestra tickets and a pre-show cocktail party for audience members 40 and under. From Thanksgiving through December 30th, audience members 18 and younger pay half price for holiday performances. Two holiday presentations will be offered (both comedies in English) as well as a special HD screening:
- Die Fledermaus (Dec.4 – Jan. 7) – Led by Tony winner Paulo Szot
- The Barber of Seville (Dec. 16 – Jan. 2)– Family oriented presentation with special open house on December 30th that will allow children a peek behind the scenes at the Met.
- The Magic Flute (Dec. 12)- The first-ever Met: Live In HD screening will be replayed on screens around New York city and across the globe
