New York Hall of Science
47-01 111th Street, Queens, NY 11368
The NY Hall of Science is a place for fun and learning. “Gosh, a place after my own heart!” Their education, public programs and science departments offer insight to the wonders of science – for students, teachers and the general public. Heck, they even have After-School Science Clubs for kids as well as Parent/Child programs. The NY Hall of Science has over 225 hands-on exhibits. Just some of these are: the Marvelous Molecule (which takes on into the world of molecular study); the Technology Gallery, a high tech exhibit and trip into cyberspace; the Pfizer Foundation Biochemistry Discovery Lab, the first hands-on lab in the world that is open to the public and devoted entirely to biochemistry; Hidden Kingdoms–The World of Microbes, focusing on microorganisms and allowing one to view the world’s largest collection of the world’s smallest living creatures. Along with the above mentioned exhibits are others which delve into the senses and energies of light, sound and more. There’s even an electronic exhibit on and about AIDS. So if you’re in the area, then definitely pay it a visit!…Enjoy!
