NY State Hospitalizations Rise for Seventh Consecutive Day while Infection Rate is at 1% or above for Three Days
New York Governor today shared the latest COVID-19 health statistics. The infection rate for New Yorkers has now been at 1 percent or higher for three consecutive days and hospitalizations have grown over the past seven days.
Over the weekend, the infection rate had climbed from 1.0% to 1.02% and now to 1.5%. That’s three consecutive days at or above one percent. This is a far cry from the Governor heralding of our sub 1% standing which spanned well over a month.
Hospitalizations on September 19 & 20 were 468 consecutively. Thereafter it climbed on a daily basis to its present number of 543.
The Governor says that concerns revolve around the large upticks in NYC’s Brooklyn Borough as well as Rockland and Orange County.
Mr. Cuomo says that his administration is reaching out to local governments and hospitals.
