Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony

November 30, 2022
7:00 – 10:00 pm

Rockefeller Center Plaza
50th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues

The Annual Rockefeller Center Tree lighting ceremony will be taking place this year on November 30 to help ring in the start of the holiday season.

The 82 feet tree which hails from Glens Falls, NY will be covered with the miles and miles worth of lighting which will be illuminated at the end of the customary countdown.

In year’s past there’s always been live entertainment as well as an appearance by the Radio City Rockettes; this as well as taped performances to be viewed on television. And yes, it will be televised for all to see. After all, it’s one of the most highly anticipated holiday events in the world and in our opinion? Rockefeller at this time of the year is the unofficial Christmas Capital of the world!

As we get closer to this day more announcements will be made about guest celebrities scheduled to appear.

Also, we’ve mentioned in this past years so we’ll mention it again. This can draw some really huge crowds and even if you manage to get a line of sight view of the tree. That’s really all you’ll be seeing. Any live entertainment usually takes place below where the Rink is.

The photo gallery below features images we captured at a previous occurrence.

The event is finished.
