Bargemusic is a classical music venue and cultural icon in Brooklyn, founded in 1977 by violinist Olga Bloom. It is housed on a historic coffee barge that dates back to 1899, moored at Fulton Ferry Landing on the East River near the Brooklyn Bridge. Bargemusic offers an intimate and acoustically excellent setting for enjoying music, as well as stunning views of lower Manhattan and the East River.

Bargemusic presents concerts, featuring a variety of genres and artists, from soloists to chamber ensembles, from Bach to jazz. Under the artistic direction of Mark Peskanov since 2006, Bargemusic has been committed to attracting local audiences and enhancing the cultural life of New York by offering frequent and affordable performances of chamber music in a fittingly intimate setting. Bargemusic also organizes free concerts for the community on select dates. Bargemusic is a cultural treasure that enriches the musical life of New York City and beyond.
