“”Following worship on MLK Sunday, you are invited to attend Teach-In, Act Out! A Forum on Faith and Freedom. This will be a space to learn how we can turn our faith into action by learning how the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. shapes social justice movements today. We will be led by Rev. Karlos Nichols, a collaborator from the Children’s Defense Fund. An embodied and community centered space will highlight historical black moments that moved us forward and how we can see ourselves in the present time moving our communities forward. We will spend time diving into reflection, grounding time, spirit-chants, and a reflection by Rev. Nichols’ titled, “A Liturgy of Liberation: The Mass Meeting as Sanctuary for Public Faith in Action.” “”
“”If you are joining us online, please grab a pen and paper for supplies.
This is an all ages event, and all are welcome. Soul food lunch is available for purchase in South Hall. “”
