NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio Lays Down the Law About Anyone Participating in Capitol Riots

When asked today about NYC Workers who might’ve participated in last week’s riots and attacks upon the nation’s capitol building the mayor of NYC had the following to say:

“Any NYC Employee, any part of the city government who participated in an attack on our democratic institution, who participated in insurrection at the Capital will be terminated. Period.

If we have proof that someone violently attacked our United States Government they will not be working for NYC any longer.”

The question was posed by Sydney Pereira of Gothamist.

Since the riots of January 6 in Washington, D.C. there’ve been widespread reports of governmental employees having participated in the violence. From former and present members of particular US City fire departments and law enforcement to even Derrick Evans, a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates who has since resigned.
