600 New York 17A, Tuxedo Park, NY 10987
New Yorkled had the great pleasure of visiting the NY Renaissance Faire late August of 2004 and 2008 and what a treat! Despite the god awful hot sticky weather there was plenty of fun to be had by all involved. Before entering their shire you’re already catching sight of the many costumed townspeople all dressed up in Medieval apparel. With swashbuckling gear, wonderful hats and clothing to match these fine folks are quite the subjects for any photograph. So be sure to bring your cameras!…or you’ll be really sorry.
From interactive performances at nearly your every turn to the many interesting food offerings you’re sure not to be bored for a single minute. During our Saturday visit we were lucky enough to have caught the very beginnings of a joust involving a neat castle, knight and sheriff of Sherwood Forest, the King and Queen and the many other participants…of course let’s not forget the beautiful horses.
New Yorkled’s hat goes off to the much witty commentary provided by these folks. Keep yer ears pricked to all the goings on. So come hither ye one and all to this grande faire and have loads of fun!
